Mr. Johnny Dale Harbin, 65, of Centre, and formerly of Cave Spring, died Friday morning, December 29, 2017 in a Rome hospital following an extended illness. Mr. Harbin was born March 12, 1952, a son of the late Emmitt M. Harbin and the late Julia Belle Harbin. Prior to becoming disabled in 2000, Mr. Harbin was employed with Norcon Industries. He was a member of the Live Oak Baptist Church. Besides his parents, Mr. Harbin was preceded in death by his brothers, Emmitt Harbin, Jr., and Danny Harbin. Survivors include two children, Brandy Harbin and his wife Bronwyn of Cave Spring, and Mrs. Candy Hill and her husband Kalum of Centre. Three grandchildren, Rebekah Harbin, Emma Grace Hill, and Sarah Beth Hill and a number of nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services for Mr. Harbin will be held Sunday, December 31, 2017, at 3:00 P. M. at John House’s Cave Spring Chapel with Terry Caldwell officiating. Interment will follow in the Cave Spring Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Danny Stansell, Brett Stansell, Baker Harbin, Cooper Bing, Tater Bing, Allen Abney, Charlie Malone, and Rodney Willingham. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 2:00 P.M. until the funeral hour. Memorials may be made to the Live Oak Baptist Church, Cave Spring, Georgia.
