As a distant relative of Ila Stargel Jones I am sorry to hear of her passing. But our loss is heaven's gain and I believe she is having a large reunion with friends and family in heaven today.

The Women of UNG, an alumnae group representing all female students who have attended the University of North Georgia, would like to extend our condolences to the family of Ms. Ila. We are so amazed to read of her life and all that she accomplished. Her life exemplifies what we hope all alumnae strive for...to be engaged, empowered, and enriched by giving and serving others and making a difference in our community, no matter where we live. We are so proud that she attended our great school, and graduating as valedictorian confirms she knew the importance of leadership and doing her best. She set the bar high, and the Women of UNG hope to do the same!

How awesome Ila was. Remember all those years ago when she helped Rob and Susan. Think about that from time to time. Ina

Ila was a wonderful Grandmother, she taught us so much. She taught my daughter how to read, visited us to reach out to let Justin Marie know she could read and be successful. She taught me how to garden. Many Great memories at Trinity Cove with her and Papa Jones. Truly a Inspiration to us all. She will remain in our Hearts and Lives Forever.

I will always remember she was faithful to come to Sunday School up until the last few months. She always kissed me on the hand and told me how she enjoyed coming. She will be missed...
