Mrs. Judy Dunn, 71, of Cave Spring, died Thursday afternoon, December 24, 2015, at her residence following an extended illness. The former Judy Ann Knopp, Mrs. Dunn was born August 5, 1944 in LaGrange, Georgia, a daughter of the late Ben Knopp and the late Delta Holdridge Knopp. A member of the Baptist faith, Mrs. Dunn was retired from the Georgia School for the Deaf, where she served as a house parent, after 30 years of service. Mrs. Dunn was preceded in death by her first husband, Ray Costley in 1978. Mrs. Dunn is survived by her husband of 27 years, Jim Dunn; by four sons, Ken Stephens and his wife Lisa of LaGrange, Scott Costley and Terry Costley, both of Cave Spring, and Chris Costley and his wife Samantha of Forney, Alabama; by two step-sons, Mitchell Dunn and his wife Stacey, and Drew Dunn, all of Rome; and by a step daughter, Mrs. Barbara Ann Boeing of South Carolina. Ten grandchildren, Cody Costley, Linsey Joe Costley, Lucy Steele, Bailey Costley, Jordan Grant, Ansley Grant, Cole Dunn, Nicole Dunn, Sydney Dunn and Carson Dunn, five great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Katherine Knight of LaGrange and a sister in law, Mrs Lorine Knopp of LaGrange also survive. Funeral services for Mrs. Dunn were held Sunday afternoon, December 27, 2015, at 3:00 P.M. at John House’s Cave Spring Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Jason Willis officiating. Interment followed in the family lot of the Roundhill Cemetery. Pallbearers included Cole Dunn, Bradley Youngblood, Sonny Holman, Dale Duffey, Tom Lindsey and Eric Whitworth. The family received friends at the funeral home Sunday afternoon, December 27, 2015, from 2:00 P.M. until the funeral hour.
