Mr. Hilburn Gerald Youngblood

Mr. Hilburn Gerald Youngblood, 80, of Waleska, Georgia, and formerly of Cave Spring, died unexpectedly Saturday afternoon, January 20, 2018, in a Canton hospital.

Mr. Youngblood was born in Cave Spring January 20, 1938, a son of the late Roscoe Youngblood and the late Gladys Hobgood Youngblood. A member of the Live Oak Baptist Church, Mr. Youngblood was employed by the Lindale Mills, Integrated Products, and retired from the City of Rome.

Mr. Youngblood was married to the former Joyce House January 16, 1961, and was preceded in death by her May 23, 2001. He was also preceded in death by an infant son, Thomas Allen Youngblood in 1963; by five brothers, Allen Youngblood, Weldon Youngblood, Eugene (Gene) Youngblood, Robert (Bobby) Youngblood, and Byron (Buck) Youngblood, and by his sister, Mrs. Ann Y. Steed.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Beth Endicott and her husband Curtis of Waleska, and Mrs. Linda Warren and her husband J. C. of Cave Spring, and four grandchildren, Trent Stager, Tyler (Stephanie) Stager, Cartina (Cody) Wilson, and C. J. Endicott. Four great-grandchildren, Kameron Stager, Katelyn Stager, Alexia Wilson and Hunter Wilson, and two brothers, Daryl Youngblood of Cave Spring, and Richard (Bettie) Youngblood of Gaylesville, Ala. also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Youngblood were held Tuesday afternoon, January 23, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at John House’s Cave Spring Chapel with Rev. Tony Cargle and Rev. Rick Jennings officiating. Interment followed in the family lot of the Jackson Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers included Trent Stager, Tyler Stager, C. J. Endicott, Cody Wilson, Tommy House and Stanley Steed.

The family received friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M.
