Mr. Dennis Duane Sutton, 71, of Cave Spring, died Monday morning, April 5, 2021 at his residence surrounded by family.
Mr. Sutton was born in Fayetteville, Arkansas on July 23, 1949, a son of Mrs. Edith Louise McDaniel Sutton and the late Dennis Ely Sutton. Mr. Sutton was a veteran of the U. S. Navy, having served during the Vietnam War and attended the Church of Christ. He and Mrs. Sutton moved to Cave Spring in 1983 from Cisco, Georgia.
Mr. Sutton was a machinist and welder, and was associated with the Rome Electric Motor Works from 1983 until his retirement in 2012.
An avid outdoorsman, Mr. Sutton enjoyed hunting, fishing, and the great outdoors. He loved his wife, his children, his grandchildren, his great-grandchildren and loved spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his wife, the former Carolyn Ada Silvers, to whom he was married February 16, 1973; two sons, Dale Sutton and his wife Tosha, and Brandon Sutton, all of Cave Spring; one daughter, Mrs. Misty Dawn Sutton Parise and her husband Eric of Talking Rock; nine grandchildren, Heather, Draven, Samantha, Dennis, Khara, Trinity, Tyler, Logan, and Haley; and five great-grandchildren, Aileigh, Blaire, Layla, Remi, and Brixley. His mother, Mrs. Edith Louise MaHana; three brothers, Ronnie Sutton, Bobby Sutton and his wife Shirley, and Randy Sutton and his wife Rebecca and a sister, Mrs. Julie S. Gardner, all of Lampasas, Texas also survive.
Funeral services for Mr. Sutton were held Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at 3:00 P.M. at the Round Hill Cemetery in Cave Spring. His son-in-law, Eric Parise conducted the services.
