Edward Kenneth (Ken) Hendrix, Jr.

Edward Kenneth (Ken) Hendrix, Jr., 64 of Cave Spring, died Thursday evening, May 2, 2024 in a Rome hospital.

Mr. Hendrix was born in Newnan, Georgia February 23, 1960, the son of the late Edward (Ed) Kenneth Hendrix, Sr. and the late Barbara Jean Lee Hendrix. He was a graduate of the Georgia School for the Deaf and was employed by the United States Postal Service for 32 years prior to his retirement in 2015.

Mr. Hendrix was married to the former Sarah Jane Hancock June 21, 1980 and was preceded in death by her August 25, 2023. Besides his wife and parents, Mr. Hendrix was also preceded in death by his sisters, Sheri Denise Hendrix Townsell and Wendy Hendrix Poff.Mr. Hendrix is survived by his children, Cassie Hendrix and Ashley Hendrix, both of Cave Spring, and by four grandchildren, Austin Hughes, Dustin Hughes, Chloe Hendrix and Gavin Hendrix.

Mr. Hendrix had requested to be cremated and no formal services are planned.
