Mr. Ernest Ervin (Ernie) Cribb, 67, of Cave Spring, died Monday morning, April 8, 2024 in a Rome hospital.
Mr. Cribb was born October 14, 1956 in Nashville, Georgia, a son of the the late Ervin Jack Cribb and the late Norma Jean Fletcher Cribb. A born again Baptist, Mr. Cribb was employed by the Lindale Textile Mill that later became Greenwood Mills. He enjoyed gardening, yard work and playing with his grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Michael Ernest Cribb.
Survivors include his wife, the former Dorothy Duffey, to whom he was married July 2, 1977 and by a son, Andrew Wayne Cribb and his wife Kristina of Cave Spring. Two grandchildren, Keegan and Cecelia Cribb and his brother Earl Cribb and his wife Kim of Cave Spring, also survive.
Funeral services for Mr. Cribb will be held at 3:00 P.M. Friday afternoon, April 12, 2024 at the Rehoboth Baptist Church with Rev. Dale Byars officiating. Interment will follow in the family lot of the Rehoboth Community Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Jeff Crider, Dale Duffey, Barry Duffey, Todd Corley, Stephen Edwards, and Zane Edwards.
The family will receive friends at Rehoboth Baptist Church Friday afternoon from 1:00 P.M. until the funeral hour.
