Ky Van McCain, 20, of Cave Spring, died Monday evening at the residence.
Mr. McCain was the son of Dena Carver McCain-Wagner and Donnie McCain, and was born in Lang Son, Vietnam January 9, 2001. He was a graduate of Coosa High School and had taken classes in welding at Georgia Northwestern Technical College. He was employed as a welder for Evergreen Patio in Cave Spring, and had returned to Georgia Northwestern to further his education. Mr. McCain attended the First Baptist Church of Cave Spring.
Mr. McCain was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Frances Nell Carver and his paternal grandfather Jesse Lee McCain, Jr. Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Dena (Terry) McCain-Wagner of Rome; his father, Donnie (Callie) McCain of Cave Spring; two brothers, Nick Carver of Rome and Tyler Hicks of Pensacola, Florida; and three sisters, Mrs. Paige (Scottie) Presley of Rome, Miss Hannah McCain of Cave Spring, and Ms. Rebecca Turner of Rome. His paternal grandmother, Mrs. Nellie Adams McCain of Cave Spring and his maternal grandfather, Vinson Carver of Rome also survive.
Memorial services for Mr. McCain were private. The family received friends at the funeral home Thursday afternoon, October 14, from 4:30 until 6:00 P.M.
