Mr. Bradley Glenn Wheeler, 54, of Cave Spring, died unexpectedly Thursday evening, April 11, 2024 in a Rome hospital.
A native of Floyd County, he was born January 24, 1970, a son the late Rev. Glenn Wheeler and the late Barbara Ann Galloway Wheeler. Mr. Wheeler was a 1988, graduate of Coosa High School, and had lived in Cave Spring his whole life.
Mr. Wheeler was associated with the Floyd County Public Works where he retired as a crew supervisor in 2011. A member of the Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Cedartown, he had also coached girl’s softball teams in both the Rome/Floyd and Cedartown Recreational Leagues.
Mr. Wheeler never met a stranger and loved his family and grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, the former Tina Moore, to whom he was married April 16, 1988, and his children, Randie Wheeler, Jeremiah Wheeler and Lexxie Woods and her husband Zach, all of Cave Spring. Two grandchildren, Axle and Zayleigh Woods, a brother, Jeff Wheeler of Cave Spring, a sister, Mrs. Janis Rone of Austell, his in-laws, Jerry and Peggy Moore of Cave Spring, three nephews, a niece and several aunts and uncles also survive.
Funeral services for Mr. Wheeler were held Sunday afternoon, April 14, 2024 at 3:00 P.M. at John House’s Cave Spring Chapel with Rev. Danny Tucker, Rev. Earl Partain, Sr. and Rev. Dale Byars officiating. Interment followed in the family lot of the Cave Spring Cemetery. Pallbearers included Phil Wheeler, Brent Wheeler, Cody Wheeler, Kyle Wheeler, Todd Watson, Zachariah Rone, Zack Woods and Chris Camp. J. R. Wynn and Dan Yarbrough served as and honorary escort.
The family received friends at the funeral home Sunday afternoon from 1:00 P.M. until the service hour.
