Mr. Chris Brown Obituary

Mr. Christopher Franklin Brown, 58, of Cave Spring, died unexpectedly Monday morning, October 3, 2022 in an Atlanta hospital.

Mr. Brown was born December 25, 1963 in Decatur, Georgia, a son of Barbara Manguard Brown Freeman and the late Franklin Brown. Mr. Brown had made his home in Cave Spring for a number of years, and was retired from Drug Transport Incorporated after 36 years of service. Mr. Brown was a devout member of the Silver Creek Church of God, and he enjoyed his family and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his wife, the former Mary Fox, to whom he was married June 30, 2007; by his children, Austin Brown of Conyers, Christopher (Jodie) Brown of Athens, Tennessee, Brad (Carrie) Hadnot of Hampton, Georgia and Tracy Vargas of Jackson, Georgia; and by three grandchildren. Christian Brown, Malakai Vargas, and Zachery Brown. His mother, Mrs. Barbara Freeman of Conyers; two sisters, Mrs. Aramina McCool of Jacksonville, Florida and Mrs. Katy Tillery of Conyers and a half brother, Danny Freeman of Conyers also survive.

A Celebration of Mr. Brown’s life was held Saturday afternoon, October 8, 2022, at 3:00 P.M. at John House’s Cave Spring Chapel with Bishop Aaron Solmovitz and Minister Tim Warren officiating. The family received friends at the funeral home from 1:00 P.M. until the service hour.
