Mr. Larry Michael Phillips, 75, of Cave Spring, died Wednesday afternoon, October 28, 2020 at his residence following an extended illness.
Mr. Phillips was born February 23, 1945 in Old Hickory, Tennessee, a son of the late Wesley Thomas Phillips and the late Lillian Pauline Layhew Phillips. Mr. Phillips made his home in the Rome area for a number of years prior to moving to Cave Spring in 1980, and he owned a number of rental properties there. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, the former Donna Kathryn Ward; one son, Dr. Michael Thomas Phillips and his wife Brianna of Gainesville; and one daughter, Dr. Jessica Reynolds and her husband Michael of Lexington, Kentucky. His sister Linda Pfitzer of Chattanooga, his brother David Phillips of Radford, Virginia, and four grandchildren also survive.
In keeping with his wishes, Mr. Phillips was cremated and no formal services are planned.
