Mr. Randy Earwood

Mr. James Randolph (Randy) Earwood, Jr., 64, of Rome, died unexpectedly Friday morning, November 11, 2022 in a Rome hospital following a short illness.

Mr. Earwood was born in Rome February 4, 1958, a son of Mrs. Lillie Romines Earwood and the late James Randolph Earwood, Sr. He was a graduate of the Coosa High School, and had attended Coosa Valley Tech and Georgia Northwestern Technical School. Prior to declining health, Mr. Earwood was employed by the Trinity Rail Car Company in Cartersville as a Industrial Maintenance Technician. He was a former member of the Calvary Baptist Church and had attended the Empty Tomb in Cave Spring.

Mr. Earwood was an outdoorsman with an infectious laugh and was a man of God that loved his family, loved music, movies, motorcycles and gaming.

Survivors include his children, Magan Earwood Lowery of Rome, Mandy Earwood Fuqua of Silver Creek, Marley Earwood Peals and her husband Cody of Cave Spring, Autumn Earwood and Joel Davis of Cave Spring and Jesse Earwood of Cave Spring; and by five grandchildren, Maggie Lowery, Michael Freeman, Ephraim Peals, Zayden Fuqua and Liam Peals. His mother, Mrs. Lillie Romines Earwood of Rome; the mother of his children, Lori Earwood of Cave Spring; his siblings Tina Davenport of Rome, Roger Earwood of Acworth, and Elizabeth Earwood of Rome also survive.

Memorial services for Mr. Earwood were held Saturday, November 19, 2022, at John House's Cave Spring Chapel at 4:00 P.M. with Rev. Frank Wood officiating. 

The family received friends at the funeral home Saturday afternoon from 2:00 P.M. until the service hour.
