Mrs. Lucy Mull Rakestraw of Rome passed away Friday, October 7, 2022 in a nursing facility in Rome.

Lucy was married to Kin Rakestraw of Dallas, Georgia for over thirty years. They enjoyed being with family and friends, especially watching the Falcons and Bulldogs playing football. When her husband, Kin, passed away six years ago, she moved back to Rome but her health declined and she spent her last month in a long-term nursing facility.

She is survived by her sister, Sue Mull Edwards (Harry) of Cave Spring, and by her brother, Roger Mull of Sequim, Washington. Several nieces and nephews and her lifelong best friend, Ginger Kay of Lindale also survive.
Lucy was a Christian and according to her wishes she was cremated. The family had a private service for her.
