Mrs. Eula West Obituary

Mrs. Eula Mae West, 92, of Cedartown, and formerly of Cave Spring, died Saturday afternoon, May 26, 2018, at the residence of her daughter following an extended illness.

The former Eula Mae Brock, Mrs. West was born in Sumpter County, Georgia, November 18, 1925, a daughter of the Willis Brock and the late Bertha Lee Kidd Brock. Besides being a homemaker, Mrs. West was employed at the Cave Spring Hosiery Mill and at Trend Mills prior to her retirement. Mrs. West was of the Baptist faith, and had attended Providence Baptist Church and Old Nazareth Baptist Church. Mrs. West was a member of the Grandparents Club, and dearly loved taking care of her grandchildren and her flower beds.

Besides her parents, Mrs. West was preceded in death by her husband, Bermon Eslen West on November 12, 1991; by an infant son, John Harvey West; by a sister, Mrs. Abele Payne; and by an infant brother.

Mrs. West is survived by a son, Bermon Eslen (Buddy) West, Jr. and his wife Nadine of Centre, Ala.; by two daughters, Mrs. Sandra Parris and her husband Guerry of Cedartown and Mrs. Kathy Russell and her husband David of Rome; and by ten grandchildren, Jason Parris, Brian Parris, Rebekah Russell, Jonathan Russell, Mecca Fox, Jessie North, Zach West, Ben Russell, Jennifer Russell, and Kyle May. Six great-grandchildren, Logan Russell, Griffin Russell, Noah North, Bowen North, Jaisey Fox, and Brody West; and two sisters, Mrs. Ruby Presley and Mrs. Clara Brewer, both of Ringgold also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. West will be held Tuesday, May 29, 2018, at noon at John House’s Cave Spring Chapel with Rev. Adam North officiating. Interment will follow in the family lot of the Providence Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers, and will include Jason Parris, Brian Parris, Jonathan Russell, Zach West, and Ben Russell.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday morning from 10 A. M. until the service hour. John House’s Cave Spring Chapel
