Mrs. Florence Esme (Flo) McCain, 65, of Rome, died Friday afternoon, April 7, 2023 at the Cave Spring Manor following an extended illness.
Ms. McCain was born in Rome September 10, 1957, the daughter of the late Hamilton Ward McCain and the late Florence Virginia Warren McCain. She was a graduate of the West Rome High School, and was associated with Georgia Kraft, Inland Container and International Paper for 30 years prior to her retirement in 2017. Ms. McCain was a member of the Community Chapel Baptist Church and had attended the Live Oak Baptist Church.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, George Warren in 2019 and Carlton McCain in 2020 and by a grand-daughter Tinleigh GraceAnne Cato in 2017.
Ms. McCain is survived by her son, Ben McCain and his wife Beth of Forney, Alabama, and by her daughter, Sarah McCain Cato of Rome. Five grandchildren, Lily McCain, Libby McCain, Taeleigh Jenkins, Everleigh Cato and Luke Lloyd also survive.
Funeral services for Ms. McCain were held Monday afternoon, April 10, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at John House’s Cave Spring Chapel with Rev. Rick Jennings officiating. Interment followed in the Bethel Baptist Cemetery at Forney. Pallbearers included James Warren, Jackie Warren, Randy Warren, Kip Warren, Dakota Hubbard, Luke Lloyd, and Terry Caldwell.
The family received friends at the funeral home Monday afternoon from noon until the funeral hour.
Ms. McCain’s family would like to thank the staff of both the Seven Hills Place Memory Care Community and the Cave Spring Manor for the care that was extended to Ms. McCain.
