Mrs. Judy Barton

Mrs. Judy Barton, 68, of Cave Spring, died Tuesday morning, March 8, 2022 at her residence following an extended illness. 

The former Judy Carolyn Johnson, Mrs. Barton was born April 2, 1953 in LaFayette, Georgia, a daughter of the late Oliver Lee Johnson and the late Mary Ruth Guinn Johnson. Mrs. Barton was of the Baptist faith, and prior to ill health, she was employed by the Storey Lumber Company, and later by Redmond Regional Medical Center in the Dietary Department.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.

Survivors include one daughter, Elizabeth Barton of Cave Spring; two sons, Randy (Eloise) Trammell of Cartersville and Rocky (Dawn) Barton of Trion; and 10 grandchildren, Dakota Barton, Zack Barton, Steven Dang, Brandon Dang, Nicholas Trammell, Justin Dang, Brooke Farmer, Levi Trammell, C.J. Trammell, and Anna Grace Trammell. Six great-grandchildren, Lynlea Barton, Raelynn Curtis, Thadious Curtis, Arian Trammell, Grayson Trammell and Nash Dang; four sisters, Mrs. Barbara Sullivan, Mrs. Helen Alexander, Mrs. Linda Alexander and Ms Sandra Johnson; and a brother, David (Pamela) Johnson also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Barton will be held Thursday afternoon, March 10, 2022, at John House’s Cave Spring Chapel at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Caleb Chambers and Dr. Trey Chambers officiating. Interment will follow in the Round Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Rev. Caleb Chambers, Dr. Trey Chambers, Rocky Barton, Zack Barton, Nicholas Trammell, and Randy Trammell.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 1:00 P.M. until the funeral hour.
