Mrs. Linda Cook Obituary

Mrs. Linda Gail Cook, 73, of Taylorsville, died unexpectedly Monday afternoon, May 24, 2021, in a Cartersville hospital following an extended illness.

The former Linda Cronic, Mrs. Cook was born in Canton, Georgia on December 1, 1947, a daughter of the late DeWitt Plez Cronic and the late Edna Mae Johnson Cronic. She was married to James Harold (Butch) Cook March 17, 1970, and was preceded in death by him October 15, 2015. Together they ran their own roofing company. She was a member of the Cross Factor Church in Rockmart.

Besides her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Earnest Cronic of Rome, Johnny Cronic and Chris Cronic, both of Chatsworth; and by three sisters, Mrs. Nancy Cornett of Cave Spring/Cedartown, Mrs. Cindy White of Chatsworth, and Ms. Angela Cronic of Cleveland, TN.

Survivors include five daughters, Ms. Connie Pendergrass and her fiancé Earl Allmon of Taylorsville, Mrs. Theresa Cook Boatner of Centre, Mrs. Jammie Dunn and her fiancé Jackie Johnson of Taylorsville, Mrs. Dana Bebout and her husband Jason of Cedartown, and Mrs. Cherlene Boatwright of Woodstock; by one son, Rodney Cook and his wife Nohemi of Rome and by 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Two brothers, Dave Cronic and his wife Beverly of Talking Rock, and Glenn Cronic and his wife Patricia of Carrollton also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Cook will be held at 2:00 P. M. Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at John House’s Cave Spring Chapel with Pastor Todd Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the family lot of the Cave Spring Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers and will include Jason Bebout, Jackie Johnson, Ervin Streetman, Brandon Streetman, David Jackson and Jorge Castillo.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour.
