Mrs. Sandra Tant

Mrs. Sandra Gail Tant, better know as “DeeDaw” to most, fell asleep in the arms of Jesus on Saturday, January 7, 2023, with her family by her side. She was 82 years old.

Her greatest love in life was her husband of 65 years, William “Squeaky” Tant, and her children, Dwight & Diane Tant, Letha Tant, and Lanette Tant. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the highlight of her day and her love for them was immeasurable.

She was a real-life superwoman, who listened more than she spoke, loved with every fiber of her being, could command any room with only a look, and baked a chocolate cake that couldn’t be duplicated. She was always selfless in action, and put everyones needs above her own, even until the day of her passing.

Services to honor her life were held Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at John House’s Cave Spring Chapel with Rev. Lael Corbett officiating. Interment followed in the Rehoboth Community Cemetery. Donnie Adams, Ronnie Barnes, John Boyd, Donny Brown, William “Humpy” Garrett, and Terry “Lizard” Shelton served as pallbearers.

The family received friends at the funeral home Monday evening, January 9, 2023 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.
