Mrs. Sarah Jane Hendrix

Mrs. Janie Hendrix, 63 of Cave Spring, died unexpectedly Friday morning, August 25, 2023 in a Rome hospital following an attack suffered earlier at her residence.

The former Sarah Jane Hancock, Mrs. Hendrix was born June 29, 1960 in LaGrange, North Carolina, a daughter of the late John Broughton Hancock and the late Virginia Ann Doyle Hancock. She was a graduate of the Georgia School for the Deaf and was formerly employed by Ci Ci’s Pizza.

Besides her parents, Mrs. Hendrix was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Sylvia Kicklighter.

Survivors include her husband, Ken Hendrix, to whom she was married June 21, 1980; her son, Ashley Hendrix of Cave Spring; and her daughter Cassie Hendrix of Cave Spring. Four grandchildren, Austin and Dustin Hughes and Chole and Gavin Hendrix and two sisters, Mrs. Marie Bell of North Carolina and Mrs. Beth Harell of Harlem, Georgia also survive.

The family has chosen cremation and no formal services are planned.
