Ms. Marcia Porter Miller, 68, of Cave Spring and Centre, died Monday evening, September 26, 2022, in Cave Spring following an illness of several months.
Ms. Miller was born in Carrollton, Georgia on July 15, 1954, daughter of the late Fred Madson Porter and the late Elsie Lee Burgess Porter Bramlett. A 1972 graduate of Cave Spring High School, Ms. Miller was a Yellow Jacket through and through and she loved her school, those she went to school with, Cave Spring, those that live here, and her family. Ms. Miller was a member of the Cave Spring United Methodist Church and was associated with Integrated Products and later Mohawk Carpet, where she retired as a supervisor.
Survivors include her daughter, Breena Miller of Jacksonville, Alabama; one grandson, Carter Mullinax; and two brothers, Jimmy (Rita) Porter of Cartersville, and Donnie (Hope) Porter of Centre.
In keeping with her wishes, Ms. Miller was cremated and a memorial service and a time of visitation and remembrance was held Sunday afternoon, October 23, 2022 at the Childers Pavilion at Rolater Park in Cave Spring from 2:00 until 4:00 P.N.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations for a park bench like her mom’s be dropped off at Southern Flavor, 2 Alabama Street, Cave Spring, Georgia 30124, or mailed to 172 Cedar Creek Crossing, Cedartown, Georgia 30125.
