My condolences, sorry to hear of your loss. Death always causes pain and sorrow. You can gain a measure of comfort in knowing that when Jesus lost his dear friend Lazarus in death, he said, as recorded at John 11:11, "Lazarus our friend has fallen asleep, but I am traveling there to awaken him." At John 11:43 Jesus called out at Lazarus' tomb, "Lazarus, come out!" and Lazarus was resurrected, awaked from death. Jesus will do the same for us. At John 5:28, 29 it tells us "the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out." Yes, we can look forward to seeing our loved ones again in the very near future when Jesus resurrects them. The bible also tells us that it will be at a time when "death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." - Revelation 21:3, 4. I am so very sad to hear about your lose of Stephen. I can't image your pain but I want you to know I love you . I pray for you both at night and think of you often. I am disappointed in myself that I have let miles and daily activities separate us, so much so that I didn't know Stephen was sick! I wasn't there for you, forgive me. You have always been there for me. I love you!! If there is anything I can do, please, please let me. Take care of yourselves.
